A1 Community Foundation offers a range of programs designed to increase workforce readiness, support job training, and connect individuals to meaningful employment opportunities in underserved communities. Our initiatives are built to provide both the skills and support needed to succeed in today’s workforce.
The Southland Health Career Pathway Program offers an exciting and comprehensive journey for individuals aspiring to enter the healthcare field. Tailored to guide participants from novice to professional, the program begins with a 12 to 16-week Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training phase.
This program is designed to train and transition individuals into fulfilling healthcare careers through structured education and hands-on experience.

Week 1: Orientation, CPR/First Aid
Weeks 2–4: Core Nursing Skills I
Weeks 5–7: Core Nursing Skills II
Weeks 8–9: Lab Practice
Weeks 10–12: Clinical Rotations
Weeks 13–14: Exam Preparation
Weeks 15–16: Transition to Employment
